Despite ranking among the top 50 universities in the world on almost all indicators, Australian National University (ANU) has again been named Australia's top university in the past year, placing highly on academic reputation, international faculty, international students, and citations per faculty ratio.

The main campus of the Australian National University is in Acton, Canberra; however, there are satellite campuses throughout New South Wales and the Northern Territory.

2. University of Sydney

University of Sydney- One of the Top Universities of Australia

After advancing two places this year, the University of Sydney is Australia's second-best university, ranking 40th internationally. It receives perfect scores in the indicators for international professors and international students.

The Institution of Sydney was formed in 1850 and is a member of the Group of Eight. Melbourne University is a public university in Melbourne, Australia.

3. University of Melbourne

University of Melbourne- One of the Top Universities of Australia

University of Melbourne is now placed 41st globally, down three places from last year. It is the highest-ranked Australian institution in terms of academic and employer reputation, and it is among the top 30 universities in the world in both categories. 
It belongs to the Group of Eight.

4. University of New South Wales

5. University of Queensland

10. University of Wollongong
